Lavender is approximately fifteen weeks old
and is a Bull Breed x. She came into Battersea with her sibling who sadly died. Lavender
came to Sarah Fisher's house for the weekend so that Sarah could work with her and assess
her and she was a delight.
Lavender, as is so often the way with the Bull
family, is extremely intelligent and loves to work. She has learnt to target a mat, to sit
for a treat, and is beginning to understand the recall. She is also learning an off/leave
cue and listens to direction. She was a little mouthy at first and was overly aroused by
contact around her neck but with quiet containment and gentle TTouch work she is learning
to settle and enjoy contact.
Lavender is already grasping the concept of
house training and by choice ran outside to relieve herself in the garden when Sarah was
working with her in the conservatory. She has mixed with a variety of dogs and although
she became pushy with Sarah's elderly Battersea girl, was totally appropriate and
respectful with her Doberman, her Maremma and by Battersea EBT x SBT. Lavender also mixed
well with a Springer Spaniel and a Labrador. She loves to play with other dogs but does
need to be socialised with confident dogs who will stand their |
