Jessie is living at the Mayhew Animal Home in
London. I met her a couple of weeks ago when I was teaching a short workshop at the
shelter. Jessie is desperately in need as are so many dogs in the UK as she
is becoming increasingly stressed in kennels. She has had little training but is a very,
very willing student and a very fast learner. She would make the perfect companion for
anyone who leads an active lifestyle but she does need help to develop confidence around
other dogs. She loved TTouch and when I put a body wrap on her she really settled. She
also picked up the skill of beautiful sitting and also doing a hand touch greeting with
clicker training and plenty of fresh chicken!!!! She is such a lovely dog but would need
to be on foster/homed with someone who has good experience with dogs and who uses
positive, reward based training to further her education. If I did not already own five
dogs I would not hesitate to foster her myself. Jessie is probably suited to someone who
does not currently own a dog as she can be a little unsure in the company of other dogs.
If you can help Jessie, even on a temporary
foster basis, please contact the *Mayhew Animal Home.
